I have never honestly checked to see what my name means until seeing this question.
Lorrian “gives you a responsible, reserved, and dignified nature, able to find a certain amount of success in anything you undertake.”
However, in certain aspects I do think that I live up to my name.

How do you celebrate your achievements
It might sound funny but I would cook myself a nice dinner.
What made you decide to start your own businesses
I am a Port Clerk at the Montserrat Port Authority and I enjoy planning and coordinating things in general. It was a natural step for me to then start a business where I can get to do planning and coordinating on a different scale.
However, I decided to start Mommy & Me Magic because for years I’ve been wanting to see something of this sort happening but no one has been taking up the initiative to give mothers a chance to feel like they too are worth pageantry.
Traditionally, local pageants are focused on celebrating young, physically attractive and unwed women. It is also mandatory that contestants are to be without child.
For this reason, Mommy & Me Magic will focus on recognizing and celebrating mothers as creative, intellectual and positive influencers in our community.
It is our aim to use this pageant to showcase and empower women as mothers; and increase awareness of the multifaceted roles and responsibilities in nurturing children in today’s society.
What do you love about your role
My role at the Port I enjoy serving customers as I am the second person they see after entering the port compound.
My role as the founder/coordinator in Mommy & Me Magic, I enjoy every process that is taking place in order to make the show a success.
From finding mothers/children, creating the themes, practicing with the contestants and all the other aspects. Most of all I get to add to our countries development!
When is the show?
The pageant is carded to take place for Mother’s Day on May 10th, 2020.
We have four beautiful mothers and children taking part in this year’s event.
We have some awesome sponsors who are on board with us and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their contribution and encourage potential sponsors to get on board.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years
I see myself evolving more on a broader scale in the development of our beautiful Island Montserrat.
Would you have done anything differently in your career path
Yes, I would have continued to college and university in order to get a better job, but all is not lost I still have time to continue my education and make myself more valuable.
Do you have any pearls of wisdom you wish to share
Let no one stop you from achieving anything that you put your mind to, always strive for the best in all you do.
